Responsibilities
Has overall responsibility for directing, administering, and managing a hospital or system infection prevention surveillance program. The Infection Prevention Surveillance Coordinator has advanced knowledge, skill, and competence in infection prevention surveillance. This position also serves as a resource to all hospital departments, medical staff and community as it relates to surveillance data in all ages (neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in allied health field.
- Certified in the practice of infection prevention or epidemiology.
- Five (5) years' experience in infection prevention surveillance or epidemiology.
