The Financials equity research team is looking to add an Investment Analyst who can support fundamental investment research while also helping the team become more efficient and technology-enabled.The ideal candidate is a fundamental investor with strong technology fluency. They should understand stocks, financial statements, valuation, and capital markets, while also being naturally inclined to identify inefficient processes and improve them through better tools, data organization, automation, and AI-enabled workflows.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior members of the Financials team and portfolio managers, supporting research across banks, insurance companies, asset managers, exchanges, fintech companies, and other financial institutions.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Financials Research
- Conduct industry and competitive analysis.
- Build and maintain financial models and valuation frameworks.
- Analyze quarterly earnings results and management commentary.
- Assist in the development of investment recommendations and research reports.
- Monitor company developments and identify potential investment opportunities.
- Participate in meetings with company management teams and industry experts.
- Support coverage of banks, insurance companies, asset managers, exchanges, fintech companies and other financial institutions.
Research Innovation & Technology
- Identify opportunities to improve research efficiency through automation and AI.
- Develop tools and workflows that enhance research productivity.
- Help organize and improve research databases and information retrieval systems.
- Assist in creating dashboards and analytical tools for the investment team.
- Evaluate emerging technologies that may enhance investment research capabilities.
- Support broader initiatives focused on scaling research output and improving collaboration across the investment platform.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- 1-3 years of experience in equity research, investment management, investment banking, capital markets, or related fields.
- Strong interest in equity investing and security analysis.
- Understanding of financial statements and valuation concepts.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Demonstrated curiosity and desire to learn.
- Interest in financial institutions and capital markets.
- Progress toward the CFA designation.
- Experience applying AI tools to research, data analysis, or workflow automation.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, or similar platforms.
- Experience with Python, SQL, VBA, Power BI, or similar tools.
This opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $115,000 to $140,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program. In addition, The Company offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education-related programs, paid holidays and vacation time, and many others. Many of these benefits are subsidized or fully paid for by the company.
This role follows our in office work model and requires employees to be onsite four days per week to support collaboration and business needs.
