Summary: 

The Quality Inspector provides operational/administrative support to the Quality function and coordinates and performs quality assurance activities such as in-line and end-of line quality inspections and participates in the KP Operations Quality Control/Inspection Process; including scheduling/performing QC inspections, collecting data, supporting Management Review processes, and quality projects on an ad hoc basis. Assist in creating enthusiastic atmosphere centered on quality, process improvement, and customer satisfaction.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform in-process and/or final inspection of products in accordance with acceptance criteria, internal standards and customer requirements. 
• Record, analyze and report performance of inspection activities. 
• Control and report nonconforming material. 
• Coordinate inspection activities with production personnel. 
• Research and resolve identified quality issues with management and Client Services team. 
• Maintain quality records and attend production, program or project meetings, as assigned. 
• Promote product quality, process improvement and customer satisfaction. 
• Follow the Safety, Security and Housekeeping protocols. 
• Other duties as requested or assigned.

Education, Experience and Training (Knowledge):

Education, Experience and Training (Knowledge)

• Typically requires an associate's degree or in lieu of degree, 4 years directly related work experience.
• One to two years related Quality Inspection experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and/or work-related experience. 1 year Quality inspection experience a plus.
• General knowledge of technology to include computers and software programs, such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Database Software.

Skills and abilities:

• Strong verbal, written and listening skills; ability to read, understand and follow SOP’s, supervisor instructions and safety, security and quality procedures; clearly communicate detailed instructions.
• Ability to identify production or quality issues.
• Must be able to distinguish colors to inspect product and pass color vision and color hue tests.
• Pays attention to details; maintains complete and accurate records.
• Use self-management skills to plan, organize and prioritize work activities to use time efficiently.
• Good interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
• Gain cooperation among team members and leaders.
• Works well with minimal supervision.
• Helps and supports all employees in their work.
• Responds positively to instructions and procedures.

Certificates and Licenses: Certified Quality Auditor certification is a plus.
