Metallurgist

As a Metallurgist, your main task is to develop the operations within your area of responsibility and improve the financial productivity of the concentrator. You will monitor and analyze the concentration process, identify areas for improvement and take development proposals forward together with your manager and other experts.

Your work is divided between optimizing daily production and longer-term development projects. You will acquire and share research information, analyze process data and follow technologies, methods and ways of working used in the industry.

Who will you work with?

You will work in the concentrator’s metallurgy team. In this role, you will act as an expert in your own area of responsibility and collaborate with different mine departments as needed. Your external partners will include contractors, service and material suppliers, research institutes and laboratories.

Collaboration, sharing information and developing solutions together are a natural part of the role. You will receive support from your manager and colleagues while also contributing your own expertise to the team’s work. The role includes both office work and work at the concentrator, allowing you to combine analysis with a practical process environment.

What do we expect from you?

• A suitable master’s degree, for example a Master of Science in process engineering, mineral processing or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in similar tasks.
• Readiness to analyze process data and apply process engineering knowledge to practical development work.
• Good spoken and written English skills.
• A careful and safety-oriented way of working, as well as the ability to collaborate with different stakeholders.

We value

• Knowledge of the mining industry and concentration processes.
• Experience in industrial research, development projects or process optimization.
