We’re looking for a Major Projects Bid Manager to join our high performing Major Projects team. This is a National role supporting Major Projects across Australia & New Zealand. This person can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

As a Bid Manager, you will oversee the entire bid lifecycle, from opportunity qualification to contract award. You will drive value proposition and strategy development, lead solution design, manage commercial and risk considerations, identify key partners, and coordinate resources to deliver competitive bids. Your ability to build relationships, engage customers, and motivate diverse teams will be critical to achieving successful outcomes.

What will you be doing?

• Accountable for developing KONE’s position and customer base in the market.
• Ensure development of customer relationships, profitability, customer loyalty & satisfaction.
• Accountable for coordinating bid teams and inputs from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, engineering, marketing, product experts, finance, commercial, legal and operations.
• Prepare and review the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all services are included in the final price to the customer.
• Responsible for risk tracking and management throughout the bid process
• Contribute and manage the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation (such as preparation of a management summary).
• Manage the Major Projects bid qualification (bid Go/ No-Go) process.
• Manage the bid budget and cost plan.
• Ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids.
• Arrange all pre and post bid reviews with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Communicate with all people within KONE involved in the bid process.

• Ensure a seamless transition from contract award to project execution through effective project handover.

What are we looking for?

• Relevant tertiary qualifications desirable.
• 5+ years’ experience in a Bid Management role within the Construction Industry.
• Experience working within the Vertical Transport Industry is advantageous.
• A proven track record in winning multi-million-dollar (AUD) project opportunities.
• An excellent project planner, experienced in cost planning, quality management and risk management.
• Ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at an executive level (internal and external customers).
