Audit Associate

Immediate need with a Reputable and Successful CPA firm headquartered in the Galleria (75/285 Interchange) for an Audit Associate. You will work to assist an Audit Partner with audits and reviews of financial statements for real estate companies, technology companies, service-based businesses, manufacturing and distribution companies. This is a tenured group in a professional supportive environment with no micro-management. Many of the tenured associates work from home part time. The work is challenging and will develop your skills in a way that is difficult with most firms. In addition this firm offers quality of life with most associates responsible for less than 1500 billable hours. No turnover in this group since 2009. Responsibilities:

• Run client engagements from start to finish, which includes planning, executing, directing, and completing financial audits and managing to budget.
• Work with audit team to identify and resolve client issues discovered during audit process.
• Research and analyze financial statements and audit- and tax-related issues utilizing electronic databases, and employ audit software to review and compile financial information.
• Maintain a good working relationship with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and work with client management and staff at all levels to perform audit services.
• Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve audit-related problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
• Compute and record numerical data
• Check the accuracy of business transactions

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting with CPA license
• A minimum of 3 years Audit & Assurance experience
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong organizational skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
