Job Title: Construction Manager                                                          Company: PoP Homes-MYR, LLC 

Department: Operations                                                                      Reports to: President 

Job Type: Regular Full-Time                                                                   Work Hours: Monday-Friday (On-Site) 

Effective Date: September 2026                                                          Exemption Status: Exempt 

Salary: $60,000 - $85,000 (Commensurate with Experience) 

Profit Sharing: Company Profit Sharing is available and varies based on the business results

Role Summary: The Construction Manager will oversee daily construction activities, manage project timelines, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and control budgets. The role also includes coordinating with inspectors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and on-budget project completion. Supervisory Responsibilities: Field Workers & Trade Partners 

Essential Functions:

  •  Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
  •  Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables.
  •  Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
  •  Coordinate and direct construction workers and Trade Partners.
  •  Meet contractual conditions of performance.
  •  Review the work progress on a daily basis.
  •  Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
  •  Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
  •  Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
  •  Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
  •  Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Required Education/Credentials/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field 
  • Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, problem solving and decision making
  • Proven working experience in construction management
  • Strong supervisory skills and the ability to manage and inspire a team
  • Proficient in budgeting and controlling project costs
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages
  • Ability to plan and see the “big picture.”
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management
  • Leadership and human resources management skills
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform under high levels of stress and ability to make independent decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process improvements
  • Must possess a sense of expediency to meet deadlines
  • Organization and follow-up skills are a must
  • Ability to lead and train Assistant Construction Managers

Preferred Education/Credentials/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:


Work Environment: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Construction managers work both indoors and outdoors, typically splitting time between an office and construction sites.
  • They often work out of a field office at the construction site to monitor projects closely.
  • Job sites can be dirty and cluttered with tools, equipment, and construction debris.
  • The work environment can be noisy, with exposure to sounds from earth-moving equipment. 
  • Construction managers may be exposed to various weather conditions when working outdoors.
  • They often travel between multiple job sites, some of which may be located great distances apart.

Physical Demands: 

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Ability to traverse and inspect all areas of a jobsite in various weather conditions, including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
  • Capability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Good vision to see details of objects both up close and from a distance. 
  • Ability to sit for long periods, especially when working in an office setting.
  • Physical stamina to be on-call and respond to emergencies or issues at the jobsite, potentially at any time. 
  • Capacity to wear protective equipment, such as hard hats, when touring construction sites.
  • Ability to work in buildings without heating or air conditioning, such as portable trailers or unfinished structures.
  • Sufficient hearing to understand speech and recognize different sounds on a construction site.
  • Physical resilience to withstand exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations.
