We are seeking a Senior Manager Commercial Operations Rare Disease Japan to join our Commercial Operations team, supporting our Japan business in a hybrid work model. In this role, you will provide proactive commercial operations and analytics support while collaborating with Commercial, Corporate, HR, IT, and above-market teams. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.

Discover your role:

  • Lead customer targeting, segmentation analysis, and key account planning.
  • Create insights through reports and presentations to support decisions.
  • Develop patient cohorts, treatment journey mapping, and demand forecasts.
  • Manage commercial field communications and approval processes.
  • Maintain customer and activity data through CRM and master data processes.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding with HR, IT, and key stakeholders.
  • Support HCP contracting, meetings, events, sponsorships, and memberships.
  • You thrive in changing environments and proactively solve operational challenges.

This role requires:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology commercial experience.
  • 5 years of global collaboration experience in commercial operations or equivalent.
  • Understanding of Japan rare disease biopharmaceutical market dynamics, laws, and regulations.
  • Functional field support experience in the Japan market.
  • Expertise in data analysis and storytelling.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Veeva, and analytical tools.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and delivering against deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, project management, change management, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Intermediate English and native-level Japanese communication skills.
  • Experience in a biopharmaceutical field operations role, particularly in rare disease, is preferred.
