Job Description

As a Security Officer Screening Technology in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by operating screening equipment, monitoring access points, and communicating professionally with employees and visitors. You will remain alert to unusual activity, help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-screening requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel entering designated logistics and distribution areas in accordance with site policies and applicable procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and shipping-related documentation as assigned, and report discrepancies or unauthorized entry attempts to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated facility areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
