Employment Term: Permanent Part Time (0.8 FTE – 32 hours per week)

Location: Auchenflower, just 5 mins from Toowong Shopping Village and 10 mins from Brisbane City

Remuneration: $64.96 - $73.02 per hour + Super + Salary Packaging + Employee Benefits

Your part in our Wesley Hospital team

As Clinical Nurse Educator you will make a significant contribution to the clinical education of current and new staff in across cardiology services. Working closely with Cardiology, Coronary Care, and Cardiac Catheter Theatre unit managers and the UC Metro Education Manager, you will lead, coordinate, and evaluate evidenced based and best practice education initiatives that support workforce capability, professional development, clinical competence, and safe patient care.

As a part of the UC Metro Education Team, you will also assist with instructor led hospital mandatory training and Advanced Life Support training and provide education that meets the hospital's broader objectives.

The successful applicant will join UC Metro Education but will be located at The Wesley Hospital; and will work under the direction of the UC Metro Education Manager.

• Experience in clinical education and teaching
• Significant recent cardiac nursing experience and a commitment to maintaining contemporary clinical practice and competence
• Post graduate qualification or working towards a post graduate education qualification/ post graduate clinical specialty qualification
• Currently hold a Level 2 Registered Nurse (Clinical Nurse) Position
• Demonstrated ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and excellent interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team
• Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements
