MISSION : A member of the Public Affairs function of Michelin India and the Global Public Affairs Organization, the incumbent will work on framing and executing Michelin’s Public Affairs strategy. He/ She will be expected to work closely with external and internal stakeholders.
KEY Responsibilities
- Support Director-Public Affairs in designing and executing Michelin’s Public Affairs strategy that advances the company’s business and policy objectives and reputation.
- Work closely with business, manufacturing, norms & regulations, legal, communications, finance, sustainability, global public affairs, research & development, artificial intelligence, information technology and other functions.
- With respect to above, develop a strong handle on key aspects of their work which have a linkage with public affairs and provide insights and help in risk mitigation.
- Prepare representations which need to be submitted to the Government, industry associations and other such bodies working closely with relevant functions
- Monitor external developments, changes in policies and regulations and risks which are of relevance or have a bearing on business and update the same internally
- Monitor local trends for topics being followed by Group Public Affairs
- Participate in external meetings with Central Government entities (DPIIT, Ministry of Steel, DGFT, BIS etc), Industry Associations and other relevant bodies.
- Articulate company’s view-point in external settings and share intelligence with internal stakeholders
- Seek appointments with officials including for the leadership whenever required
Key Expectations:
- Graduate or Master’s degree
- Good understanding of India’s political system and bureaucracy including interface between industry and Government
- Experience of engaging with BIS would be a plus
- Candidate should be very proactive and agile working as per clear timelines
- Good speaking and writing skills (including presentations) and ability to articulate in simple and easy to understand language
- Have a result oriented approach
- Ability to work in a collaborative and diverse environment
- Should be able to work on different initiatives simultaneously
- Be strong on integrity
