About The Role

In this role, you will lead, drive and provide technical directions to the projects, working with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers including external suppliers. You will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, ensuring technical risks are identified and mitigated, and that project objectives are met on time, on spec, on quality and within budget. The role requires solid understanding, especially in the embedded software and hardware development, hence the ability to communicate project status and risks to senior management, and to collaborate with engineering, operations, quality teams, and key suppliers effectively.

Accountabilities

·       Independently lead and deliver complex projects within the Software, Hardware, and Product Solutions (SWHW&PS) domain, balancing technical, schedule, scope, quality, and resource constraints.

·       Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring clear, effective, and timely communication throughout the project lifecycle.

·       Develop and execute project communication plans, providing stakeholders with accurate, concise, and actionable updates.

·       Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to ensure deliverables meet agreed milestones, quality standards, and business objectives.

·       Ensure project readiness and compliance with all applicable safety, security, regulatory, manufacturing, and quality requirements.

·       Maintain accurate and timely project KPI reporting, providing a clear and transparent view of project health, risks, and performance.

·       Champion the adoption of product development processes, engineering best practices, and delivery discipline across project teams.

·       Proactively identify, assess, and resolve project issues and risks, ensuring effective risk management, mitigation planning, and end-to-end requirements traceability.

·       Drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment to achieve project objectives and deliver successful business outcomes.

·       Coach, mentor, and support the development of junior project managers and team members, fostering growth and capability building.

·       Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and high performance across the project team.

·       Ensure lessons learned are captured and applied to improve project execution, delivery efficiency, and organizational capability.

Skills

·       First Degree (Engineering preferable) or equivalent.

·       Project Management or Project Lead with delivery responsibility

·       Product development - Hardware or Software is a plus

·       Strong understanding of embedded software/firmware development lifecycle, architecture, integration, and validation.

·       Proficient in Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, requirements management, and engineering design tools

·       Knowledge of end-to-end product design and development processes from concept through production launch.

·       Understanding of Consumer Products Cyber security requirements, Hardware and Software Security design and development.

·       Understanding of CICD tool including tools used for quality and security checks

·       Understanding of manufacturing and industrialization.

·       Demonstrated ability to independently deliver or design complex engineering projects.

·       Strong knowledge of risk management, requirements management, and stakeholder engagement.

About You

·       Minimum of 5 years’ project management experience in a high-technology engineering field, demonstrating a solid understanding of the complete project lifecycle.

·       Minimum of 8 years of experience in Hardware and Software product development within the IoT, Consumer Electronics, or Automotive industries.

·       Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to successfully deliver complex technology projects.

·       Strong understanding of product development methodologies, engineering processes, risk management, and project governance.

·       Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end product design and development, from requirements definition, design, verification, validation, manufacturing readiness, and product launch.

·       Experience supporting manufacturing scale-up, supplier collaboration, design transfer, and production quality improvement activities.

·       Experience working with global teams and external partners in a fast-paced, matrixed organization is highly desirable.
