ERM India seeking a motivated Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Professional to support the implementation and monitoring of EHS programs across projects and operations as well as Construction. You will play a pivotal role in shaping safety strategies, delivering complex projects, and driving business growth. This position demands strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across diverse sectors and geographies.

Key Responsibilities
1. EHS Leadership & Project Delivery
- On-site health & safety consultant for a technology sector client
- Delivery of Health and Safety services and Incident and near-miss management including stop-work intervention.
- Confirm that Health and Safety legal compliance requirements are understood, control programs are in place and that compliance is monitored during construction activities.
- Provide regular inspection routines to projects to promote safe behaviors, and good conditions and to increase safety awareness across all workers on site.
- Provide feedback on overall health and safety performance to regional leadership.
- Other Health and Safety related tasks as required.
- Work Location: Hyderabad/Mumbai/Pune
2. Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build and sustain long-term relationships with key clients, becoming a trusted safety advisor.
- Translate complex technical safety challenges into actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver integrated EHS solutions, with safety at the core.
3. Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Mentor and coach junior consultants to build internal safety capability, technical acumen, and client-facing skills.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance within project teams.
- Lead internal knowledge-sharing initiatives to drive thought leadership in safety and health.
- For Principal Consultant: Lead large, diverse teams across geographies and drive organizational thought leadership.
4. Business Development & Market Growth
- Identify and pursue opportunities for safety-related consulting services, particularly in sectors such as manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, and chemicals.
- Support key account planning, proposal development, and pitch presentations with a strong safety value proposition.
- Represent ERM in industry forums, webinars, and client events as a subject matter expert on occupational safety and risk management.
- For Principal Consultant: Spearhead strategic growth initiatives and secure high-value opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental, Safety, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 8–12 years of hands-on experience in safety consulting, audits, risk assessments, and system implementation including minimum 3 years of relevant construction safety experience
- Be passionate about safety performance improvement and having working experience with the following H&S topics:
- Hazard recognition
- Incident management
- On-site construction health and safety planning
- Job hazard analysis
- Proactive and fast learner, excellent communication skills and good team worker
- Certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, IOSH, or equivalent are mandatory; CSP/CMIOSH or similar global credentials are a strong advantage.
- Proven exposure to Data Center and Tech industry guidelines and experience working with international clients.
