Your role As a Mechanical Engineer - Power Module Sustaining , you will take ownership of semiconductor power module families throughout their lifecycle, ensuring long-term product reliability, manufacturability, and availability. You will drive package-related engineering changes, support root-cause investigations, and collaborate closely with development, product engineering, manufacturing sites, and external partners. By leveraging your technical expertise and analytical mindset, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, risk management, and the successful introduction of new package technologies. Key responsibilities in your new role T ake end-to-end ownership of assigned semiconductor power module families throughout their lifecycle Drive package-related sustaining activities, ensuring long-term product availability and manufacturing robustness Manage and coordinate package-related engineering changes on molded plastic housing, stamped copper and substrate parts. Support root-cause investigations of package-related quality, reliability, and manufacturing issues Coordinate corrective and preventive actions together with development, operations, quality, and external partners Maintain package specifications, mechanical documentation, and engineering databases Evaluate package-related risks, obsolescence topics, and qualification requirements Contribute to process standardization, data quality improvements, and digitalization initiatives Support the introduction of new package technologies and continuous improvement activities Your profile You are a proactive and detail-oriented engineer with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You take ownership of package-related topics throughout the product lifecycle, collaborate effectively with international stakeholders, and drive technical improvements to ensure product reliability and manufacturing excellence. Combining technical expertise with a structured working style, you successfully manage engineering changes, support issue resolution, and contribute to continuous innovation. Qualifications and skills to help you succeed A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical discipline Several
years of experience in semiconductor design, product engineering, sustaining
engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field Strong
understanding of semiconductor package technologies and assembly processes Experience
in technical change management and lifecycle management of products Knowledge
of reliability engineering, qualification approaches, and problem-solving
methodologies such as 8D, FMEA, or similar approaches Excellent
analytical and structured working skills Strong
communication and stakeholder management capabilities within international
teams Willingness
to travel once per year to Germany and on demand to manufacturing site,
suppliers Fluent
