Overview
The Employee Health LPN plays a vital role in supporting the health and wellness of employees across the organization. This position is responsible for assisting with onboarding health assessments, managing employee health records, coordinating workers� compensation claims, and supporting reporting and compliance efforts. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, compassionate, and experienced in clinical and administrative healthcare functions.
Responsibilities
- Occupational Health
- Conduct health screenings, immunization reviews, and drug screens for new employees.
- Perform venipuncture for blood draws as needed
- Perform fit testing for respiratory protection as required.
- Assist with documentation and follow-up for onboarding health requirements.
- Patient Interaction & Clinical Support
- Check in employees for scheduled health visits.
- Take vital signs and assist with minor clinical procedures.
- Administer vaccines and provide health education.
- Health Records Management
- Update and maintain accurate employee health charts and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and organizational policies.
- Workers� Compensation Coordination
- Assist with intake and documentation of workplace injuries.
- Coordinate follow-up care and communication with insurance providers.
- Track and manage claims and related documentation.
- Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and submit required health and safety reports.
- Support audits and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Monitor trends and provide data to support health initiatives.
Qualifications
Skills
- Familiarity with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive health information.
- Knowledge of workers� compensation processes and health documentation standards Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience & Education Required
- LPN with a valid Delaware license.
- Certification in Occupational Health Nursing preferred.
- Experience with fit testing, vaccine administration, and drug screening procedures
