At Lam Research, the Global Operations Group brings together information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and high-volume manufacturing to drive Lam's global business operations.

## The impact you’ll make
You will gain hands-on experience working at the intersection of manufacturing and supply chain operations.
You will support projects and day-to-day activities that help minimize material and shipment risks by ensuring the accuracy, availability, and quality of components required for production and customer deliveries.
This internship provides valuable exposure to Supply Chain Management, manufacturing operations, project coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.
## What you’ll do
- Support manufacturing and supply chain teams in expediting materials to meet production schedules and customer delivery commitments.
- Analyze data using SAP, Excel, and internal shortage management tools to identify material shortages, validate risks, and assist with escalation activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Manufacturing, Order Fulfillment, Logistics, Engineering, Buyers, and Commodity Managers to support material allocation and delivery priorities.
- Assist in tracking supply chain projects and process improvement initiatives from planning through implementation.
- Help develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor material delivery performance and supply chain risks.
- Participate in root cause analysis activities and support corrective action plans for supply chain challenges.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects that enhance operational efficiency and business processes.
- Prepare presentations, documentation, and status updates for project reviews and team meetings.
- Gain exposure to manufacturing operations, supply chain planning, procurement, and project management best practices.
## Who we’re looking for
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred but not required.
- 6-months internship

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
