Contract Manager, IT Operations (m/f/d)

As a Contract Manager, IT Operations, you will govern supplier and service contracts throughout their operational lifecycle. You will maintain a reliable overview of contractual obligations, changes, renewal dates, risks, and commercial actions, enabling IT and business demands to be fulfilled through existing agreements and preferred suppliers.

You will work closely with Procurement, Legal, Finance, Vendor Management, service teams, and suppliers. By translating contract terms into clear operational actions and controls, you will strengthen commercial transparency while respecting formal sourcing, negotiation, legal, and approval responsibilities.

Your responsibilities:

• Maintain a complete overview of IT Operations contracts, statements of work, amendments, key dates, owners, obligations, and related documents.

• Coordinate the operational handover of new contracts and document approved changes and their commercial and service implications.

• Track notice periods, renewals, extensions, and termination dates, initiating discussions early enough to support informed decisions.

• Translate contractual obligations into clear actions, owners, and due dates, and escalate overdue or unclear items through the appropriate governance forums.

• Assess incoming demands against existing contracts and preferred suppliers to identify suitable contractual routes for fulfilment.

• Make contract information available to Vendor Managers and Service Managers for supplier and service reviews.

• Work with Finance, Procurement, and service owners on pricing, consumption, invoices, indexation, forecasts, credits, and other applicable commercial actions.

• Identify contractual gaps, dependencies, unsupported charges, and areas where service delivery does not align with the agreed contract or scope.

• Support Procurement and Legal with the documentation and operational facts needed for negotiations or disputes.

• Coordinate contract activities for renewals, changes, terminations, and exits, including knowledge transfer, data and asset return, licences, and access removal.

Your qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable professional experience in business, law, procurement, finance, IT, or a related area.

• 5+ years of experience in IT contract management, vendor management, procurement, commercial management, or IT service delivery.

• Experience working with technology service contracts, statements of work, SLAs, pricing models, and contract changes.

• Ability to read a contract, identify what matters operationally, and turn this into clear actions and controls.

• Good understanding of budgets, forecasts, invoices, indexation, and commercial terms.

• Strong organisation, documentation, and follow-up skills, keeping records accurate and actions tracked to closure.

• Ability to work constructively with Procurement, Legal, Finance, service teams, and suppliers while respecting their different accountabilities.

• Fluent English, written and spoken.
