Description
Purpose Statement: The IT Project Manager leads the planning, deployment, and optimization of the IT infrastructure and digital systems required to enable Plexus Oradea to provide manufacturing services. This role is responsible for driving cross-functional IT and operational technology (OT) initiatives to achieve regulatory compliance. Applying rigorous IT project management frameworks and cybersecurity compliance best practices, the IT PM ensures the site establishes a secure, isolated, and fully compliant digital manufacturing ecosystem.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Stakeholder Management & IT Alignment: Collaborates with internal stakeholders (Global/Regional Technology, Regional/Site Leadership) and external defense auditors . Maintaining a consistent governance cadence to align project execution with business strategic goals.
- IT Infrastructure & Schedule Management: Owns and manages the comprehensive IT project schedule for the assigned program. Oversees the installation, integration, and validation of IT infrastructure to meet tight defense certification deadlines.
- Risk Management & Cybersecurity Governance: Builds robust IT governance frameworks and status reporting mechanisms for executive leadership. Proactively identifies risks related to project deployment, and regulatory compliance.
- IT Leadership & Best Practices: Applies Plexus Core Values to direct cross-functional IT implementation teams, contractors, and technical staff. Implements IT project management best practices (PMP, Agile, ITIL).
- IT Metrics, System Validation & KPIs: Establishes and tracks project delivery KPIs, deployment milestones, and compliance readiness indicators.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: 8 or more years of experience in IT project management, including at least 5 years of international project management experience managing complex IT infrastructure or enterprise software implementations.
Other Qualifications:
- Certifications: Professional certification in IT or Project Management (PMP, Agile/SCRUM, ITIL, or Master’s Degree in Project Management/IT) required.
- Defense & Security Compliance (Strong Advantage): Proven experience leading IT infrastructure projects designed to comply with national or international cybersecurity security classifications ( NIS2, ISO 27001/ NIST 800-171).
- Technical Domain Knowledge: Solid background in IT infrastructure setup, network segmentation, access control systems, secure data storage, and IT/OT integration within high-tech manufacturing environments (EMS, Aerospace, Defense, or Automotive).
