Responsibilities:
Prepare timely and accurate HKMA Returns, and other banking regulatory returns as required for submission on time, including liquidity positions returns and daily monitoring, and other statutory reporting submissions;
Liaise with auditors on audit of banking returns and the related internal controls implementation;
Ensure compliance with internal standards, controls and policies;
Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and related testing on report compilation automation projects;
Responsible for local financial reporting, Head Office reporting and financial disclosure of the bank per government regulations, accounting standards and the Bank’s policies;
Assist in the implementation of accounting policies and procedures and drive process improvement;
Prepare management reports and presentation materials for senior management meeting;
Assist in budget and forecast process including preparation of budget templates, compilation of budget submissions from other teams and analysis of budget numbers;
Attend enquiries from the HKMA, internal and external auditors, Head Office and stakeholder;
Engagement in ad-hoc assignments;
Requirements:
Degree holder in Finance/ Accountancy/ Information System
HKICPA or equivalent qualifications
At least 4 years of accounting/ audit experience with financial services industry
Strong organizational skills including the ability to coordinate, prioritize and manage multiple activities to meet deadlines
Proactive self-starter, comfortable with working autonomously and have a strong sense of responsibility
Conversant with MS Office application. Knowledge of Excel VBA and MS SQL would be an advantage
Fluent in English and Chinese
