Description
The position is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that develop employee knowledge and technical capability in robotics and automation operations. It ensures that employees are equipped with the skills required to operate, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain robotic systems safely and efficiently. The role partners with subject matter experts and operational leaders to create effective learning programs, drive competency development, and promote compliance with operational and safety standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct learning needs analyses to identify technical, functional, and behavioral training requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain training materials, including presentations, technical manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and job aids.
- Create multi-modal learning content such as hands-on exercises, simulation activities, and visual learning guides.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and team leaders to translate technical concepts into effective training programs.
- Deliver instructor-led and virtual training programs on robotics operations, safety practices, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Conduct onboarding programs, new hire orientations, technical workshops, and certification sessions.
- Facilitate soft skills and functional training programs that support employee performance and development.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and operational guidelines within training environments.
- Verify trainee readiness and competency before allowing participation in operational or laboratory activities.
- Develop assessment tools, practical evaluations, and certification criteria to measure training effectiveness and participant competency.
- Gather feedback, evaluate training outcomes, and recommend improvements to enhance learning effectiveness.
- Maintain training databases, completion records, certifications, and learning documentation.
- Monitor training metrics and provide reports on employee development, certification status, and program effectiveness.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- You must have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Industrial Technology, Education, or a related technical field.
- You must have at least 2–4 years of experience as a Technical Trainer, Functional Trainer, or a similar learning and development role.
- You must have the ability to operate basic robotic movements through controller-based systems and successfully pass operational assessments when required.
- You must have exceptional presentation, facilitation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- You must have the ability to deliver classroom-based, virtual, and hands-on training programs effectively.
- You must be highly adaptable and capable of learning new technologies, systems, and software quickly.
- You must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot training equipment or simulation-related issues.
- You must have the ability to simplify complex technical processes and effectively train non-technical users.
