The Opportunity:
CACI is preparing for an exciting modernization effort with the Department of Veterans Affairs. This new program will be a transformational initiative that will reshape how the VA manages acquisition, contracting, and enterprise-wide data. As the VA moves toward a modern, secure, and integrated CMS environment, our team will play a pivotal role in delivering the technology, expertise, and innovative problem solving required to support the nation’s veterans.

CACI is building a team of experts who thrive in challenging modernization environments as this program calls for high-impact technical leaders, forward-thinking engineers and mission-focused professionals. We are currently hiring a Trainer to join this dynamic team.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver role-based training for diverse user personas, including Contracting Officers, Contract Specialists, CORs, Program Office personnel, Finance Users, Vendors, and System Administrators.
• Develop training materials in various formats, such as Instructor-Led Training, Web-Based Training, Train-the-Trainer programs, job aids, and quick reference guides.
• Conduct training needs assessments by role and tailor curriculum to address specific proficiency gaps and workflow requirements.
• Facilitate hands-on lab exercises and scenario-based learning that integrate Federal acquisition policy knowledge with system functionality.
• Develop end-to-end acquisition lifecycle training scenarios covering solicitation, award, post-award administration, and contract closeout.
• Coordinate training schedules across geographically dispersed Federal facilities and deliver Train-the-Trainer sessions to build internal training capacity.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by training participants and incorporating feedback into training refinements.
• Conduct training effectiveness assessments and adjust methods based on user proficiency metrics and help desk trends.
• Collaborate with Change Management Lead to align training with organizational readiness goals and adoption strategies.
• Partner with Developers and Business Analysts to translate technical capabilities into user-friendly training content.
• Collect and analyze training feedback and post-training proficiency assessments to identify knowledge gaps and develop targeted remedial interventions.
  

Qualifications:
Required: 

• US Citizen with ability to pass Tier 2 background investigation
• Bachelor's degree
• 5 years of experience in training development and delivery, with at least 3 years supporting Federal government systems or enterprise software implementations
• Proficiency in instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies
• Experience developing training materials in multiple formats
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills with ability to engage diverse audiences
• Ability to translate complex technical and policy concepts into accessible training content
  

Desired:

• Certifications: Instructional design certifications, Appian certifications, or PMP/Agile certifications
• Federal Acquisition Domain: Knowledge of FAR/VAAR, Federal acquisition lifecycle, contracting processes, and procurement regulations
• Platform Experience: Experience with Appian platform, low-code solutions, or similar enterprise SaaS applications
• Federal Modernization Programs: Experience supporting financial management, acquisition system, or ERP training for large-scale Federal implementations (1,000+ users)
• Change Management: Background in organizational change management and user adoption strategies
• Section 508 Compliance: Knowledge of accessibility standards for training materials
• Data-Driven Training: Ability to analyze training metrics, help desk data, and user proficiency indicators to drive continuous improvement

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$61,600-$129,300
