HR Administrator
Reports to: HR Manager
Location: Ormskirk
Hours: Full Time
Role Purpose
To provide efficient and accurate HR administration support across a busy office environment. The HR Administrator will support the employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through to changes in employment and leavers, ensuring employee records are accurate and managers and employees receive a responsive HR service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare contracts, offer letters and other HR documentation.
- Coordinate new starter administration, including right-to-work checks, references and onboarding documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring information is kept up to date and confidential.
- Process employee changes including hours, salary, job title, department and personal details.
- Support absence management administration, including recording sickness and maintaining appropriate documentation.
- Monitor probation periods and support managers with the relevant paperwork.
- Support recruitment activity, including arranging interviews and communicating with candidates.
- Process leavers and ensure relevant documentation and systems are updated.
- Respond to day-to-day HR queries from employees and managers, escalating more complex matters where appropriate.
- Support payroll by providing accurate information on starters, leavers and employee changes within agreed deadlines.
- Produce basic HR reports and information as required.
- Take notes at HR meetings where required.
- Support the HR team with general administration and ad-hoc projects.
About You
You will be organised, approachable and comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly. You will have strong attention to detail, good written and verbal communication skills and understand the importance of confidentiality when dealing with employee information.
Previous HR experience is required as this role is on site, sometimes independantly .
Desirable: CIPD Level 3 qualification. Maths & English.
