What you'll do...
Role summary:The (USA) Developmental Technician, Facility Services HVAC/R, supports the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across multiple facilities. This role involves completing required documentation, assisting with capital expenditure planning, and performing preventive maintenance and repairs under supervision. The technician collaborates with management and business partners to identify priorities, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. By adhering to company policies and procedures, this position contributes to operational efficiency, cost control, and continuous improvement within the HVAC/R service function.
About the team:
The General Facilities Maintenance Technician team ensures the efficient operation and upkeep of refrigeration and HVAC systems across multiple sites. Collaborating with management and partners, the team focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs while following safety and environmental standards. They manage equipment, inventory, and regulatory compliance to support continuous improvement. Utilizing expertise in facility repair and electrical diagnostics, the team develops and implements action plans that promote clear communication and reliable service, enhancing overall facility performance with professionalism and integrity.
What you'll do:
- Complete and submit required documentation such as expense vouchers, refrigerant logs, and work orders to senior leadership.
- Assist in gathering capital expenditure lists and develop scopes of work for HVAC/R and energy management system updates.
- Perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and troubleshooting on HVAC/R equipment under supervision.
- Collaborate with management, coworkers, and business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following safety policies and procedures.
- Manage company vehicles by coordinating maintenance, conducting inspections, and submitting invoices.
- Adapt to change and provide clear communication on work progress and challenges.
What you'll bring:
- Experience performing HVAC/R maintenance, repairs, and preventive services in compliance with safety regulations.
- Ability to complete and submit required documentation accurately, including work orders and refrigerant logs.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, energy management, and equipment troubleshooting techniques.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with management, coworkers, and business partners to meet priorities and deadlines.
- Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency guidelines.
- Strong communication skills to report progress and recommend improvements.
- Adaptability to learn from feedback and manage multiple facility locations as needed.

The hourly wage range for this position is $29.00 - $56.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Hold and maintain Universal or Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Option 1: 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
Option 2: 2 years’ Walmart store experience.
EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
