What you'll do...
Role summary:The (USA) Developmental Technician, Facility Services HVAC/R, supports the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across multiple facilities. This role involves completing required documentation, assisting with capital expenditure planning, and performing preventive maintenance and repairs under supervision. The technician collaborates with management and business partners to identify priorities, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. By adapting to evolving challenges and contributing to continuous improvement efforts, this position plays a key role in sustaining efficient and reliable HVAC/R operations within the organization.

The Facilities Management HVACR team ensures safe and comfortable environments by leading HVACR operations and coordinating maintenance activities. They manage equipment repairs, troubleshoot issues, and oversee projects to enhance facility performance while maintaining compliance with safety and environmental standards. The team collaborates effectively, shares expertise, and continuously improves processes to support business goals. What you'll do:
- Complete and submit required paperwork, including expense vouchers, refrigerant logs, and work orders, to senior leadership.
- Assist in gathering capital expenditure lists and develop scopes of work for HVAC/R and energy management system updates.
- Perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and troubleshooting on HVAC/R equipment under supervision.
- Collaborate with management, coworkers, and business partners to identify priorities, communicate progress, and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain company vehicles and coordinate required maintenance and documentation.
- Adapt to change and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll bring:
- Experience performing HVAC/R maintenance, repairs, and preventive services in compliance with safety regulations.
- Ability to complete and submit required documentation accurately, including work orders and refrigerant logs.
- Skill in troubleshooting and diagnosing HVAC/R equipment issues using established policies and resources.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with management, coworkers, and business partners to meet priorities and deadlines.
- Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency guidelines relevant to HVAC/R work.
- Competence in operating and maintaining company vehicles according to policies and safety standards.
- Adaptability to learn from feedback and implement continuous improvements in facility services.

The hourly wage range for this position is $29.00 - $56.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Hold and maintain Universal or Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Option 1: 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
Option 2: 2 years’ Walmart store experience.
EPA 608 Certification within 90 days of hire.• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
