$68.20 - $102.30Major Responsibilities:
Manages, leads, and grows a comprehensive grateful patient program across Atrium Health, with a core focus on growing partnerships and trust with clinical and administrative leaders, identifying meaningful philanthropic needs, developing fundraising strategies, and identifying, cultivating, and managing a prospect and donor pipeline for key service lines (including Levine Cancer, Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute, Neurosciences, Levine Children’s, Behavioral Health, Carolinas Rehabilitation, etc.), campaign priorities, and special fundraising initiatives.
Oversees a wide range of Atrium Health Foundation grants and contracts development activities on behalf of Atrium Health facilities, programs, services and activities.
Works with Foundation and campaign volunteer leadership on the overall direction, strategy, volunteer management, planning and successful execution of the $500M Giving Hope Campaign, while also leading and working with the development team on action plans, goals, and tactics for campaign priorities (capital, research & innovation, education, and social impact) and donor interests throughout the campaign.
Partners with prospect development team to create, benchmark, and champion industry leading prospect and donor management activity, targets, and development metrics and analytics (as tracked in CRM) for all front-line fundraisers. Collaborates with strategic relations and donor relations team to ensure timely and appropriate communication, moves management, recognition, and strategic opportunities to grow healthy, robust, long-term relationships with top donors, prospects, and volunteers. Participates in budgeting processes, assessing needs and aligning resources with mission priorities.
Provide leadership and strategic vision for the management, growth, and stewardship of volunteer leadership/ambassador boards across service lines (including LCH Board of Ambassadors, SHVI Board of Ambassadors, Levine Cancer Ambassador Board, Women’s Care Board of Ambassadors, Behavioral Health Board of Ambassadors, Professional Advisory Council, Levine Children’s Cancer Champions, etc.)
Serves as a thought partner with Foundation President to implement strategic and long-term plans for all development activity (individual giving, corporate and foundation relationships, planned giving, annual programs), fundraising, and Foundation goals.
Draft and review high-level gift proposals and customized donor strategies.
Further build, expand, and champion a culture of philanthropy across Atrium Health to promote strong grateful patient and clinical partnerships, with an emphasis on a high quality and professional individual giving program that identifies, qualifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards grateful patients, top donors, prospects, and volunteers.
Mentors and provides assistance to Atrium Health teammates on selected fund development and advancement opportunities and activities.
Designs and directs the work of the assigned area(s) of responsibility. Selects, coaches, and develops teams, setting objectives that align with organizational strategy to inspire and motivate the teams. Manages organizational talent through performance management, succession planning, and development. Designs and directs processes by which team and individual performance are recognized, feedback is consistently delivered, and performance is systematically improved.
Develops and/or recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that people actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations, and laws applicable to the organization's business.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
None Required.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s level college degree required.
Experience Required:
At least 10 years of fund development and 5 years leadership experience required with proven track record of securing large, transformative gifts and building donor portfolios.
Preferred Job Requirements
Preferred Education:
Graduate level degree or CFRE preferred.
Preferred Experience:
Healthcare experience strongly preferred.
