Management Level:
M1SUMMARY: The Export Operations Supervisor is responsible for timely and efficient movement of Global Tyson products to all international customers through all modes of transportation (refrigerated trucking, hopper, tanker, refrigerated box car, ocean container, intermodal, etc.)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Ensures cross – functional collaboration and alignment on strategic plans necessary to provide Tyson competitive advantage
- Develop and improve working relationships with internal and external business partners. Plants/Shipping locations, drayage providers, cross-dock and cold storage, procurement, finance, operations, IT, maintenance, etc.)
- Ensure Tyson export allocations are fully utilized to ensure efficient movement of Tyson products.
- Promotes and supports technological and automation initiatives designed to improve product movement through Global network
- Support continuous improvement and change management
- Lead and develop team to support Tyson Global transportation and total company initiatives
- Ensures cross functional collaboration and alignment on strategic plans necessary to provide Tyson competitive advantage
- Participates in frequent supplier service reviews to ensure high expectations are realized
- Ensure risk management and contingency planning related to trends and threats impacting Global transportation and Global BUs
- Models the Tyson values and culture. Build strong relationships and trust with internal and external team members and business partners. Creates discipline and focus around developing talent, building talent pipeline and fostering environment that empowers team members.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree in Logistics a plus, or Bachelor's degree in Business w/3 plus yrs relevant experience a plus.
- Experience: 3 plus yrs. of Logistics, Distribution, Exports/Imports and/or Transportation experience preferred.
- Computer Skills: Versed in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and various supply chain operating systems
- Communication Skills: Mid to Senior level management written, presentation and verbal skills.
- Supervisory: N/A
- Travel: Minimal travel required. Approximately 2-3 domestic trips annually.
