Shift: 1st  

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Saturday and Sundays as‑needed to support operations. Additional compensation is provided for the 6th and 7th workdays.

Hours: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM/end of shift (flex as needed)

SUMMARY: The Parts Room Supervisor is responsible for purchasing maintenance parts and other building supplies for the plant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversight of cycle counting inventory control as well as inventory accuracy for the parts area.
  • Ensure all Purchase Orders have proper approvals.
  • Works closely with corporate purchasing on the development of new vendors and methods for cost reductions and performs other responsibilities as needed.
  • Create new part numbers.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Create and maintain all invoices and late delivery reports.
  • Validate all vendor credentials are current.
  • Supervise, train, coach and mentor personnel within the Parts and Receiving department.
  • Performing other responsibilities as the need arises.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High school diploma; education beyond high school including special training, vocational school, and / or college courses, or combination of education and experience is preferred.

Experience: Knowledge of parts and tools used in a plant preferred; prior supervisor or lead experience preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office suite. SAP experience preferred.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Special Skills: Strong leadership and problem-solving skills; strong work ethic, and ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform similar and/or interrelated tasks and activities.

Internal disqualifiers are the following:

  • Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8 point policy (on application date)
  • No written warning in the past six (6) months
  • No suspension on record for the last 12 months

This position is slated for candidates who are currently working at this facility. Priority consideration will be provided to these applicants first. If local Team Members are not selected, Team Members from other locations will then be reviewed for consideration.
