Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response in Tacoma, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, maintaining awareness of visitors, employees, and contractors.
- Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in a timely and accurate manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Baton certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
