Sigvaris is currently looking for a Controller to join our Finance team in Peachtree City, GA. As a leading compression solution provider, we are not just a company that manufactures products. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller is responsible for overseeing the General Ledger, Cost Accounting, AP, AR and General Accounting of SIGVARIS US. This includes monthly and annual results input to Group Consolidation system and Profit Analysis tools including variance analysis. The Controller is responsible for sales tax, payroll and 401K administration.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides all required financial data and input for Sigvaris.
• Represents SUS with other SIGVARIS companies, both in person and remotely.
• Manages Accounts Receivable portfolio through AR staff.
• Manages Accounts Payable through AP staff.
• Manages cost accounting, fixed assets, payroll through assigned staff.
• Ensures accuracy and timeliness of account reconciliation process.
• Maintains general ledger.
• Responsible for internal controls system.
• Ensures established accounting policies are followed and are in compliance with standards.
• Processes financial closing for SUS, including:
o Internal Financial System
o Upload reconcile for various Swiss Systems
o Account reconciliations
o Investigates variance and implement corrective actions
o Process budgets and forecasts
• Reviews and assists as required in the financial closing and reporting for SMX and SCA.
• Functions as backup for assigned staff/roles.
• Coordinates annual financial audit and 401K audit.
• Responsible for the overall supervision, training and development, motivation, coordination and evaluation of the Finance Department staff.
• Proactively coaches and motivates employees in the Department.
• Effectively addresses employee concerns, disciplinary actions and resolves problems.
• Ensures all employees in the Department understand how the Company is performing and what contribution they make toward Company goals.
• Ensures all employees in the Department know how they’re doing compared to their performance standards.
• Ensures all employees in the Department have the skills and knowledge to do their jobs, or there is a plan to obtain them.
• Fosters positive morale among staff, by promotion of open communication with all departments, to help create and maintain an innovative and cooperative staff relationship and environment;
o Interacts with external and internal customers in a manner conducive to continued positive relationships.
o Displays patience, courtesy and tact; demonstrates flexibility, enthusiasm and willingness to cooperate while working with others or in place of others as necessary.
• Demonstrates effective communication methods.
o Chief Financial Officer and/or appropriate management staff are kept informed of developments affecting their functions;
o Responds quickly to all oral and written communications.
o Maintains and encourages an open line of communication with both internal and external customers.
o Checks and responds to voice mail messages in a timely manner.
o Accurately and legibly presents written data to affected internal/external customer.
• Follows established company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SIGVARIS policies, industry standards, ISO 13485 standards, and Federal, State and local laws.
• Follows all work instructions, creates and maintains accurate records to meet all internal and external requirements.
• Accurately performs any other duties and responsibilities as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow.
Requirements
EDUCATION and WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; Master’s Degree Preferred
• CPA preferred
• A minimum of 8 years of General Ledger Accounting experience.
• A minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with International Accounting
SKILLS:
• Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office products
• Spanish speaking desired.
