A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Operating Room Lead Nurse (RN) to provide clinical leadership and support within a surgical services department. Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee patient care activities during assigned shifts

• Serve as a clinical resource and subject matter expert for surgical services staff

• Assign and support team members to ensure safe and efficient patient care delivery

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate surgical care

• Monitor patient progress and assist with complex clinical situations

• Promote compliance with established nursing standards, policies, and safety practices

• Support staff development through mentoring, coaching, and clinical guidance

• Assist with workflow management, case coordination, and patient throughput

• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

• Provide direct patient care and clinical support as needed

• Foster a collaborative, professional, and patient-centered work environment

 

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Previous operating room nursing experience required

• Specialty surgical experience preferred

• Leadership, charge nurse, or team lead experience preferred

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced surgical environment
