The role:

The Head of Regulatory Reporting is responsible for overseeing and delivering all regulatory reporting obligations within Finance to the National Bank of Belgium (NBB), as Swift is becoming regulated as a critical infrastructure provider . Along with a team of experts, the role ensures the organisation meets its critical regulatory compliance capital and liquidity requirements, recovery planning, and orderly wind‑down. This team lead role requires strong regulatory expertise, people management and stakeholder management skills as well as the ability to operate independently while influencing across the organisation. In this role you will report directly to our CFO.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish, own and coordinate end‑to‑end regulatory reporting within Finance, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely submission to the NBB
• Oversee and deliver key Finance-related regulatory compliance requirements, including, :
  • Assess and monitor Capital and Liquidity requirements
  • Financial Recovery planning
  • Orderly Wind‑Down planning
  • Capital Call plan
• Ensure regulatory deliverables are aligned with internal financial governance, risk frameworks and regulatory expectations
• Act as a primary Finance point of contact for ongoing engagement with the NBB.
• Lead the preparation and presentation of regulatory materials, including explanations of internal processes and frameworks (e.g. investment prioritisation and governance frameworks).
• Maintain and enhance regulatory reporting frameworks, methodologies, and documentation. Support internal and external audits, supervisory reviews and regulatory inspections related to financial and regulatory reporting.
• Monitor regulatory developments and drive continuous improvement

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
• Significant experience in regulatory reporting and financial regulation within a regulated financial services environment.
• Strong knowledge of Finance-related regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated experience interacting with regulators (preferably the NBB or equivalent authorities)
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills across senior and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple regulatory priorities and deadlines.
• Legal background is a must
