About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur / within the Food & Beverage Department in Kuala Lumpur, the Restaurant Manager is responsible to manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and create a pleasant dining environment and experience for guests. The Restaurant Manager reports to the Director of Food & Beverage.
As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Plan in conjunction with the outlet activities, promotions, menu implementations according to the annual marketing plans
Ensure that all designated action points from daily briefings or bi-monthly operational meetings are being followed by the individuals concerned
Ensure that positive working relations with non-Food & Beverage departments are fostered giving cooperation at all times
Be aware of and comply with all legislation affecting the operation, including licensing regulations, health regulations and fire and safety regulations
As Assistant Restaurant Manager, we expect from you:
A University/ Hotel School or College Graduate in Hotel Management
Minimum 3 years of hotel experience
Handling guest / colleague complaints and dealing with them tactfully
Previous experience in supervising and/or delegation
Willingness to develop team members and self
