Planning Manager | Full Time | Competitive £ | Glossop, UKWe’re looking for a warehouse planning expert who knows how to turn demand into flow.This is a role with real operational impact. You’ll sit at the centre of the warehouse, shaping how work moves through the operation, balancing volume, labour and space to keep everything running smoothly. It’s not about building perfect plans on paper, it’s about creating plans that land, adapt, and deliver consistently.What success looks likeClear, executable warehouse plans that keep work flowing across inbound, outbound and internal operationsStrong visibility of demand, labour and capacity, with risks identified early and managed proactivelyA stable, controlled planning environment with fewer last-minute changes and less firefightingLabour and resource aligned to demand, even through peak and pressurePlans that don’t just exist—they’re understood, adopted and delivered on the warehouse floorKey responsibilitiesOwn the daily and weekly warehouse planning cycle, turning forecast demand into clear, achievable plansBalance volume, labour, and space constraints to maintain consistent operational flowLead short-term planning reviews, surfacing risks, trade-offs and decisions with clarity and paceCreate visibility of upcoming constraints and ensure the operation is prepared ahead of timeMaintain plan stability and control, reducing unnecessary change and disruptionWork closely with Warehouse Operations to align priorities and ensure plans are practical and executableBuild and refine planning tools, processes and ways of working that improve performance over timeTake a hands-on approach—owning the detail while shaping how planning works across the operationWhat we’re looking forStrong experience in warehouse or operational planning within a fast-paced logistics or distribution environmentA solid understanding of warehouse flow, labour planning, capacity and space constraintsConfident using WMS, ERP or planning tools to build and manage plansComfortable working in an environment where priorities shift and pace mattersKey skillsOperationally minded – understands how plans translate to real warehouse activityClear and decisive – able to make sound calls when constraints competeStructured but pragmatic – brings order without overcomplicatingCalm under pressure – keeps control when the operation is under strainStrong collaborator – works across teams to align plans and drive executionContract: Full Time, 37.5 hrsOnsite Working: We're a 24/7 operation and the majority of the time will be around core business hours but you may need to flex depending on the needs of the operation.Benefits include but are not limited to: Pension SchemeHealth Cash PlanFree Onsite ParkingNewly Refurbished OfficeColleague DiscountRecruitment Agencies:Thank you for your interest in supporting our hiring efforts.
