Description
Staff Accountant responsible to maintain ledgers, prepare reports, and day-to-day accounting tasks and ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
Role and Responsibilities:

- Prepare and reconcile monthly Commissions payments, and generate reports for agents and agencies.
- Act as Accounts Payable backup responsible for prepare and process weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers), maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
- Assist Senior Accountants with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounting Department.
- Reconciles AP report discrepancies and problems.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain documentation and accounting records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Attention to detail, accuracy and organization.
- Proven track record of good communication skills.
- Advanced Excel skills, Word, and accounting systems.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks; work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related fields.
