Education: Masters degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Degree

Experience/Qualifications: Licensure in the State of Florida as APRN/RN or Physician Assistant, American Heart Association BLS Certification for Health Care Provider, ACLS Certification
Demonstrates high quality case management abilities and clinical competency
Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing,

Position Summary
The APRN/PA works in collaboration with physicians and other patient care team members, in an active practice to deliver health care services to patients and families. Provides direct patient care.
Performs procedures and prescribes medications under protocol. Provides patient education and counseling. Participates in the marketing, evaluation and growth at JMC. The position will support all of cardiology physicians.

Physical Requirements
Frequent, prolonged walking, standing, bending and reaching. Pushing, pulling or moving/lifting 50 lbs. of equipment, supplies and patients.

Threshold Requirements
These threshold requirements are required and completed yearly basis, Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee, TB/PPD Surveillance Program. Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
