Mobile Service Technician * Montour Falls, NY

FleetPride is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mobile Service Technician (Tech II/III) to join our team in Montour Falls, NY. This position is ideal for an independent technician who enjoys working in the field, solving problems, and providing outstanding customer service. Most repairs are performed at customer locations in a company-provided service truck.
Compensation
- $30.00–$34.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)
- Weekly Pay

Schedule
- Shift schedule based on business needs and technician availability
- Service truck taken home daily (unless off for multiple consecutive days)
- On-call rotation required:
- 24-hour coverage on Saturdays and Sundays
- 1–2 weeknight on-call shifts

What You'll Do
- Perform heavy-duty truck and trailer repairs at customer locations
- Complete preventive maintenance services and DOT inspections
- Diagnose and repair air brake systems, wheel ends, suspension, electrical systems, lift gates, landing gear, trailer doors, and other mechanical components
- Communicate repair status and recommendations with customers, dispatch, service writers, and the service manager
- Process work orders and customer payments using FleetPride's business operating system
- Deliver exceptional customer service while working independently in the field
Qualifications
- 3+ years of heavy-duty truck and/or trailer repair experience
- Tech II or Tech III level experience preferred
- Ability to diagnose and complete most mobile repairs independently
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable using tablets and business operating software
- Ability to process customer payments in the field
- Must be able to communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, service writers, and management throughout the repair process
- Ability to remain professional while handling challenging customer situations
- Must provide your own tools and toolbox
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- CDL is a plus but not required
- Safety-minded with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently
