Position Summary
The Planner / Scheduler is the lead supply chain planning resource for the Gas Genset business across the Americas, a product line experiencing significant growth driven by surging demand from the Data Center market. This role owns the end-to-end stocking strategy for Gas Genset spare parts, from developing and implementing inventory models to managing supplier performance and ensuring on-time availability for customers. Working closely with Service, Parts Support, and Order Management teams, the Planner / Scheduler is a critical enabler of business growth and customer satisfaction in one of Rolls-Royce Power Systems' most dynamic segments.
What you will be doing
- Lead Gas Genset parts planning for the Americas, develop, implement, and continuously optimize the stocking strategy for spare parts in partnership with Service, Parts Support, and Order Management teams to support rapid business growth.
- Own SAP material planning execution, maintain and optimize Material Planning Master Data, set Reorder Points and Safety Stocks, execute demand planning using monthly forecasts, and process purchase orders to suppliers.
- Manage supplier performance and escalations, monitor supplier adherence to delivery schedules, expedite shipments as required, coordinate with internal transportation teams, and keep accurate material availability dates in SAP for Order Management.
- Drive inventory performance, meet organizational targets for part availability, on-time delivery, inventory levels, and Net Working Capital, and proactively escalate risks to urgent customer orders.
- Lead and support continuous improvement, participate in and lead CI initiatives related to planning processes and deliver special projects and reports as required by management.
Basic Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Business or Supply Chain with 3+ years of experience in supply chain, distribution management, inventory planning, or service operations, OR
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain with 1+ year of experience in supply chain, distribution management, inventory planning, or service operations, OR
- Master's degree in Business or Supply Chain, OR
- PhD in Business or Supply Chain, OR
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, distribution management, inventory planning, or service operations in lieu of a degree

Preferred Requirements:
- Hands-on SAP Material Planning experience (MM/MRP modules preferred) or strong working knowledge of an equivalent Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, combined with advanced data management skills using Excel, Access, or similar tools.
- Experience in spare parts planning, stocking strategy development, or supplier management in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment — ideally supporting a high-growth product line or new market segment.
- APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) or equivalent supply chain credential, with a strong analytical and problem-solving approach to managing complex, data-driven planning challenges.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities, work cross-functionally with Service, Order Management, and Finance teams, and communicate material availability and escalations clearly to internal stakeholders.
