Function as primary client liaison and lead for assigned pharmaceutical meetings for global client. Work closely with client contact to understand and meet program objectives/outcomes. Must also be able to travel up to 40%.
What You'll Do
- Manage end-to-end event and meeting programs from contract turnover through final invoicing, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project timelines, workflows, and program schedules to ensure seamless execution of meetings, congresses, and events.
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers, hotels, DMCs, airlines, and third-party vendors to secure services, negotiate contracts, and manage program logistics.
- Lead ongoing communication with clients and interested parties, conducting regular status meetings and ensuring alignment with program objectives and expectations.
- Oversee program budgets, financial forecasts, expense tracking, and billing reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Create and manage detailed event itineraries, agendas, and operational plans, ensuring all program requirements are effectively completed.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including creative, technology, registration, and air travel teams, to deliver exceptional client experiences.
- Monitor contractual obligations, attrition deadlines, cancellation policies, and supplier performance to mitigate risk and ensure service delivery.
- Conduct post-event evaluations and client debriefs, analyzing outcomes and finding opportunities for process improvements and future program enhancements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal partners while serving as a trusted advisor and lead point of contact for assigned programs.
What We're Looking For
- REQUIRED: 5-7 years meeting planning experience with at least 3 years supporting Pharma business.
- Pharmaceutical Congress experience a plus.
- 4-year degree preferred. CMP designation preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of management and clients.
- Ability to work accurately and timely – to meet deadlines.
- Ability to be flexible and handle change well.
- Shown skills for technology and/or software solutions and analytical skills required.
- Microsoft Word and Excel experience – Advanced level
- Experience with meeting industry technology preferred (CVENT)
- Ability to travel by airplane, boat, rail and/or car with travel up to 40%.

The US national base salary range for this position is from
$55 300,00 - $102 700,00The national range provided includes the base salary that Amex GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
