Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Letart, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will manage visitor and badge access, monitor entry points, and help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and support security-related operations while helping to deter incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and communicate access concerns through established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Support the protection of utility operations by documenting incidents, completing required reports, and maintaining professional communication with site personnel and emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
