Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Unarmed Mobile Patrol Security Officer to help protect critical infrastructure sites throughout the Grand Valley area. This position requires a proactive individual who can travel between assigned locations, conduct routine security checks, and maintain a safe and secure environment for client facilities.
The ideal candidate is observant, dependable, and capable of working independently while maintaining a professional presence during evening patrol operations.

Primary Responsibilities

Mobile Patrol Operations

• Conduct scheduled patrols of multiple client properties throughout the Grand Valley.
• Inspect buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds for security concerns.
• Verify that facilities remain secure during assigned patrols.
• Monitor for unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a visible presence to help deter theft, vandalism, and trespassing.

Building Security

• Perform scheduled security checks at assigned locations.
• Confirm buildings, entrances, gates, and other access points remain properly secured.
• Identify potential maintenance or safety issues and report them promptly.
• Follow established patrol routes and client-specific procedures.

Incident Response

• Respond appropriately to alarms, suspicious activity, or other security-related incidents.
• Notify supervisors or emergency responders when circumstances require additional assistance.
• Remain calm and professional while managing unexpected situations.
• Assist with protecting client property until additional support arrives if needed.

Documentation & Communication

• Complete accurate patrol logs and daily activity reports.
• Document incidents, observations, and unusual conditions in a timely manner.
• Maintain communication with supervisors regarding operational updates.
• Follow all company policies, post orders, and client requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to successfully complete a background investigation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in private security, patrol services, military, or law enforcement.
• Experience performing patrols across multiple locations.
• Familiarity with electronic reporting systems.
• Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions in changing situations.

Physical Requirements

• Walk and patrol assigned properties for extended periods.
• Frequently enter and exit buildings during patrol rounds.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Lift or move up to 25 pounds when necessary.
• Maintain visual awareness while performing patrol duties.
• Operate safely during evening and nighttime assignments.
