This career-development position is intended for a professional with approximately five years of relevant experience who is ready to expand their knowledge of Navy acquisition, integrated logistics, lifecycle management, POM development, and maritime program execution. The selected candidate will receive progressively complex assignments and increased responsibility, providing a career path toward early senior lifecycle sustainment positions.

  • Collect and analyze information related to fleet readiness, system availability, maintenance requirements, sustainment costs, and total ownership costs.
  • Track readiness drivers, obsolescence risks, sustainment requirements, and key performance indicators throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Maintain lifecycle data, schedules, trackers, reports, and supporting documentation in accordance with program and NAVSEA requirements.
  • Assist senior team members with identifying lifecycle risks, evaluating alternatives, and developing mitigation strategies.

POM Cycle and Strategic Planning Support

  • Support Program Objective Memorandum (POM) cycle preparations, including data calls, requirements documentation, performance inputs, funding alignment, and capability trade analyses.
  • Gather, organize, validate, and maintain technical, financial, programmatic, and performance data supporting budget and requirements submissions.
  • Assist with developing requirements justifications, issue papers, briefing materials, and decision-support documentation.
  • Track requirements, funding profiles, unfunded needs, and lifecycle priorities across multiple fiscal years.
  • Help align lifecycle priorities with long-range program, portfolio, readiness, and modernization objectives.
  • Support senior analysts during budget reviews, program reviews, and capability planning forums.

Stakeholder and Enterprise Coordination

  • Coordinate with Government organizations, warfare centers, shipbuilders, prime contractors, vendors, and internal program stakeholders.
  • Support communication among engineering, logistics, program management, contracting, finance, and operational teams.
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), working groups, program reviews, and cross-organizational meetings.
  • Track schedules, deliverables, risks, action items, decisions, and follow-up requirements.
  • Respond to program data calls, taskers, and requests for information under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Maintain proactive communication to keep stakeholders aligned on program requirements, milestones, schedules, and priorities.

Briefings, Reporting, and Decision Support

  • Prepare and coordinate program briefs, product summaries, status reports, dashboards, and other leadership materials.
  • Translate technical, logistics, financial, and performance information into clear and concise presentations.
  • Review and validate information before incorporation into program reports and briefings.
  • Assist with developing recommendations and supporting documentation for leadership decisions.
  • Record and track actions, risks, decisions, and follow-up items resulting from stakeholder reviews and governance meetings.
  • Provide accurate and timely status updates to program leadership and senior team members.

Small Boat and Maritime Program Support

  • Apply and expand working knowledge of small boats, combatant craft, service craft, or related maritime systems.
  • Support lifecycle planning associated with maritime platform sustainment, modernization, readiness, and portfolio management.
  • Assist with coordinating modernization, sustainment, and integration activities across platform systems, mission systems, and product-support elements.
  • Participate in shipyard, waterfront, or fleet-support activities as required to develop practical knowledge of platform operations and sustainment needs.

Required Qualifications
