Description

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support complex systems engineering initiatives across enterprise-scale, multi-system environments. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in systems engineering, requirements development, architecture, systems integration, and technical assessment, with the ability to guide multidisciplinary engineering teams and translate mission needs into effective technical solutions.

In this role, you will support the engineering lifecycle for complex systems and services spanning cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructures. You will collaborate with government stakeholders and technical teams to evaluate capabilities, assess risks, develop engineering solutions, and integrate systems across organizational and agency boundaries.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level and junior systems engineers across requirements engineering, architecture, integration, testing, reliability, resiliency, and systems analysis.

  • Lead the analysis, documentation, and traceability of user requirements, system architectures, engineering procedures, and technical issues.

  • Evaluate existing systems, cloud service capabilities, workflows, and scheduling constraints to identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and improved performance.

  • Develop and evaluate systems engineering solutions based on mission requirements, technical analysis, and emerging technologies.

  • Collaborate with government stakeholders to translate mission objectives and customer needs into actionable system and capability requirements.

  • Analyze and allocate requirements across system architecture components, technical capabilities, and executing programs.

  • Perform systems integration activities to support interoperability across complex systems, services, processes, and interfaces.

  • Conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and engineering assessments to inform technical decisions.

  • Support strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.

  • Apply systems engineering lifecycle principles to support planning, development, integration, evaluation, and sustainment of complex systems.

  • Coordinate engineering efforts across organizational and agency boundaries in support of major systems acquisition programs and enterprise-level capabilities.
