About the Role:
We are looking for an EHS Senior Manager to lead site-wide environmental, health, and safety programs, regulatory compliance, risk management, and safety initiatives for a global manufacturing company.
This role requires a highly hands-on EHS leader who is actively involved in day-to-day manufacturing operations, maintains strong visibility on the ground, and can effectively integrate safety, environmental compliance, and risk management into business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the site's EHS Management System in compliance with Philippine regulations, corporate standards, and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with DOLE, DENR, BFP, PEZA, local government, occupational safety, environmental, fire safety, and permitting requirements.
- Lead risk assessments, hazard identification, industrial hygiene activities, incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, EHS inspections, and regulatory audits.
- Manage environmental permits, licenses, regulatory submissions, hazardous waste requirements, wastewater discharge, air emissions, emergency preparedness, and other site compliance obligations.
- Serve as the site's EHS subject matter expert and partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Facilities, HR, Quality, and other stakeholders to strengthen safety culture and embed EHS requirements into daily operations.
- Maintain a strong presence on the manufacturing floor and actively oversee day-to-day EHS activities, including operational concerns, employee engagement, contractor safety, and regulatory readiness.
- Coordinate with Regional and Global EHS teams and manage relationships with regulatory agencies, customers, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
- Lead EHS training, safety committees, emergency response programs, performance monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, or another related technical discipline.
- At least 10 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years in an EHS leadership or management role.
- Strong experience in electronics manufacturing, semiconductor, or a closely related manufacturing industry.
- Strong working knowledge of PEZA requirements, Philippine EHS regulations, compliance processes, and local permits.
- Relevant DOLE-recognized Occupational Safety and Health certifications and Pollution Control Officer (PCO) accreditation, or equivalent qualifications where applicable.
- Proven experience in audits, inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, regulatory compliance, permits, and corrective action management.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with a highly hands-on and operational approach to EHS management.
Good to Have Qualifications:
- Experience working in a PEZA-registered manufacturing facility.
- Background in semiconductor, electronics, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience implementing or maintaining ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), or similar management systems.
- Experience coordinating directly with DOLE, DENR-EMB, BFP, PEZA, OSHC, and local government authorities.
- Experience supporting sustainability, waste reduction, resource conservation, and environmental improvement programs.
