About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Staff Software Engineering - Applied AI to lead foundational platform team. This leader will shape the strategy, architecture, and execution of the core systems that power AI experiences across customer and internal agent journeys.

This is a high-impact role for an engineering leader who combines deep technical judgment, strong organizational leadership, and a track record of building scalable platforms. You will be responsible for developing the teams and platform capabilities that enable secure, reliable, and reusable AI experiences across the enterprise.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and grow high-performing engineering teams responsible for critical Applied AI platform capabilities
• Define and drive the technical strategy for foundational AI platforms, including shared services, orchestration, reusable skills, and agentic workflows
• Partner closely with product, architecture, domain, and business leaders to translate complex business needs into scalable platform solutions
• Oversee the design and delivery of secure, resilient, and extensible systems that support AI experiences across channels
• Establish strong engineering standards across architecture, development, quality, observability, and operations
• Build a culture of technical excellence, ownership, continuous improvement, and strong cross-functional collaboration
• Balance near-term execution with long-term platform vision and organizational scale

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience building distributed systems and platform capabilities at scale
• 5+ years of engineering management experience leading high-performing teams
• Strong technical background in platform engineering, APIs, orchestration systems, and service-oriented architectures
• Experience leading Applied AI, intelligent systems, conversational AI, or workflow automation initiatives in production environments
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional strategy and drive execution across complex organizations
• Excellent communication skills, sound technical judgment, and strong people leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large language model applications, agent frameworks, AI orchestration, evaluation, or governance
• Experience building platforms that support customer-facing or internal assistant experiences
• Track record of building reusable platforms that create leverage across multiple teams and product areas
• Demonstrated success hiring, developing, and retaining strong engineering talent

 

Annual Salary

$150,000.00 - $300,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
