Description
Senior Radar Engineer
OASYS, INC., a Leading-Edge Government contractor in Huntsville Alabama, is seeking a Senior Radar Engineer to support our customer onsite at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL.
Primary Responsibilities
• Conduct detailed radar system evaluations, troubleshoot customer‑reported issues through root‑cause analysis, streamline tactical radar algorithms for real‑time implementation, and prepare clear technical documentation for briefings to project leadership and end users.
• Create and maintain analysis tools using MATLAB or Python, and provide guidance to junior team members to ensure consistent methods and tool interoperability.
• Work onsite daily at a government facility as part of a multi‑contractor team, collaborating frequently with industry partners and government personnel.
Required Qualifications
• Demonstrated background in radar systems, simulation, and electronic warfare, ideally within the defense industry.
• Experience with compiled languages such as C or C++, and strong proficiency across core radar concepts including detection theory, tracking, waveform management, and target classification.
• Advanced analytical abilities, including practical experience using MATLAB or Python.
• Strong capability to interpret data and make informed, analytical decisions.
Preferred Experience
• Background in radar modeling and simulation.
• Prior work involving radar systems, simulations, and electronic warfare within defense‑focused environments.
Required Education: Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Cyber, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other STEM discipline, however, years of experience may be substituted for a degree. 9+ years of experience is desired for this role.
Eligibility: Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. An Active Secret Clearance is highly desired.
