Job Description:
We are looking to add a Data & Reporting Analyst to join our Information Technology team in West Des Moines, IA. Offering a forward-thinking, innovative, and vibrant company culture, along with the opportunity to share your unique potential, there really is no place like Holmes!
Essential Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze data from various sources to deliver accurate and timely reports.
- Develop, maintain, and automate dashboards and reporting tools.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to support business objectives.
- Consult with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver insights.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy through regular data quality checks.
- Provide operational consulting for reporting, data quality, and technical requests related to the use of the claim system.
- Work in partnership with assigned business unit and consult as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, computer science, information systems or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years professional experience in data analysis, reporting, or a related field.
- Skills: Must have strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information. Experience with data visualization tools: Tableau Power BI, or similar. Strong communication and presentation skills, and attention to detail. Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes is a plus.
- Technical Competencies: Understands business needs, makes informed decisions, and effectively delivers technological solutions, including related processes and procedures. Demonstrates strong analytical skills by identifying opportunities or root causes, applying logical reasoning to analyze facts, and developing and executing effective outcomes. Possesses proficiency in data analysis languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.
