Designs, maintains, and analyzes comprehensive compensation programs and plans to ensure competitive and equitable practices. LOCATION: Please note the role is being offered only in the posted location (Charlotte, NC). No full remote or relocation assistance available at this time. Truist in office requirement is 5 days per week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Designs and administers compensation programs including salary structures, incentive plans, and pay policies.
2. Maintains compensation plans encompassing base pay, short-term and long-term incentives, allowances, deferred compensation, and sales compensation as well as non-cash rewards and recognition programs.
3. Evaluates compensation through job analysis, classification, benchmarking, and participation in market surveys under limited supervision.
4. May collaborate with external consultants and vendors to enhance compensation and rewards program design and policies.
5. Performs analysis of difficult compensation-related issues and draws from prior experience to solve problems.
6. Directs and reviews competitive compensation assessments and makes recommendations to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
7. Supports compliance with regulatory requirements related to compensation and rewards programs.
8. Works on large, complex compensation projects, assignments, and processes and delegates work to lower-level professionals.
Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
2. Minimum of 7 years of professional experience as a compensation professional.
3. Strong knowledge of compensation programs.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Advanced graduate degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
2. Project management experience specific to job architecture
3. Experience in the financial services industry.
4. Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation.
5. Understanding of accounting and financial concepts related to compensation, including tax and regulatory compliance.
