  • Partner with sector leaders to provide strategic recommendations informed by market research, client feedback, and competitive intelligence.
  • Serve as an advisor to lawyers, providing guidance on marketing opportunities, client engagement strategies, and business development priorities.
  • Monitor developments across the financial services industry, identifying emerging trends, competitive activity, and opportunities to strengthen the firm’s market position.
  • Manage the development of sector-focused thought leadership, targeted campaigns, and client-facing events in collaboration with sector and practice leadership.
  • Support business development and pursuit strategies for financial services clients and prospects, including pitch and proposal development and responses to RFPs and RFIs.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-practice and cross-sector collaboration to expand client relationships and generate new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate directory and award submissions aligned with sector objectives and the firm’s market positioning.

  • Encourage knowledge sharing across the practices and sectors serving financial services clients to strengthen collaboration and identify opportunities.
  • Incorporate Voice of the Client insights, market intelligence, and competitive research into strategic planning and marketing execution.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics, return on investment, and progress toward strategic goals, recommending adjustments based on data, client feedback, and business outcomes.
  • Mentor and guide Specialists and other team members, supporting professional development and fostering a high-performing, client-focused environment.
  • Adopt and promote marketing technologies and tools to improve operational efficiency, enhance client value, and support continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and maintain availability during scheduled working hours and as needed.

What You’ll Bring

  • At least eight years of experience in legal or professional services marketing, business development, or strategy, with a demonstrated track record of leadership and impact.
  • A bachelor’s degree.
  • Proven ability to support strategic planning and execution for practice groups, industry teams, or comparable business units.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, distill complex information, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across teams and organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and cross-functional initiatives.
