About The Team

Job Summary

As a Dispatcher at JD.com, Inc., you will be a critical link in our logistics and delivery operations, responsible for coordinating the efficient movement of goods and delivery personnel to ensure timely and accurate customer order fulfillment.

Job Responsibilities

* Monitor and manage real-time delivery progress and driver routes using proprietary dispatching software.
* Optimize delivery schedules and routes to maximize efficiency and minimize delivery times.
* Communicate proactively with drivers, customers, and internal departments regarding delivery status, delays, and any issues that may arise.
* Resolve delivery-related problems and escalate complex issues to appropriate management as needed.
* Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including delivery times, mileage, and driver performance.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of dispatching processes and systems.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and transportation laws.
* Handle incoming calls and inquiries related to deliveries and transportation.

Job Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
* Proven experience in a dispatching, logistics coordination, or similar role, preferably within an e-commerce or high-volume delivery environment.
* Strong geographical knowledge and ability to interpret maps and navigation tools effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
* Proficiency in using dispatching software, GPS tracking systems, and standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
* Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a calm demeanor under pressure.
* Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by operational needs.
