JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Diesel Mechanic in Davison, MI. Our client is a single source for pumping services, contract dewatering, one-pass trenching, power generation and drilling. The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining the company’s hydraulic pumps and motors, and other HEAVY mechanical equipment as needed.

Responsibilities of a Diesel Mechanic includes:

• Performing quality checks on repaired equipment items.
• Maintaining service order processes, providing descriptions of repairs and maintenance on mechanical equipment, and ensuring the appropriate paperwork is filed.
• Welding equipment as required.
• Performing repairs and maintenance on equipment at job sites when needed.
• Assisting with system set-up and tear-down on job sites.
• Procuring parts and supplies as required.

Job Requirements of a Diesel Mechanic:

• Occasional travel may be required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet job requirements.
• Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.

REQUIRED Experience and Education:

• Welding experience required.
• Diesel experience required.
• Hydraulic equipment experience required.
• Heavy equipment repairs experience required.
